About this role

Job Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning and Scheduling: * Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets. * Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely availability of raw materials and resources. * Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet production targets. 2. Team Management: * Lead and manage production teams, including recruitment, training development, and performance management. * Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance within the production department. * Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and other departments. 3. Process Optimization: * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. * Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. * Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize production processes. 4. Quality Assurance: * Ensure that all products meet quality standards and customer specifications. * Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards. * Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions. 5. Compliance and Safety: * Ensure that all production activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards. * Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary. * Promote a safety-first culture within the production team. * Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and hazardous materials handling. 6. Resource Management: * Manage the use of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize production efficiency. * Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. 7. Reporting and Documentation: * Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services. * Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management. 8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities, quality control, and compliance. 9. Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time. Job Requirements: 1. Minimum Degree (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.) 2. Proven experience in a production management role, with a track record of successfully managing production teams and processes. 3. Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and best practices. 4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 5. Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems, MES). 6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 7. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance. 8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
