About this role

Reporting to Chief Operating Officer and Group Sustainability Committee, The Corporate Sustainability Manager ensures Zecon Berhad and its flagship project, Kota Petra Green Technology Park (KPGTP), adhere to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements set by regulators, investors and the group’s sustainability framework. The role drives sustainability reporting, risk assessment, compliance monitoring across operations from core activities in construction, renewable energy and assets & facility management concession. **Responsibilities** 1. **ESG Governance & Compliance** * Ensure the group’s operations and green technology park development align with Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guidelines and are comparable with international ESG frameworks * Monitor compliance with environmental laws (EIA, DOE, NREB, waste management, carbon reporting). * Coordinate ESG audits and liaise with regulators and certification bodies. * Maintain records of licenses, permits, and ESG-related commitments. 2. **Sustainability Reporting** * Working with sustainability consultant in developing internal sustainability framework, setting material sustainability matters and sustainable development goals, coordinate in data collection (GHG emissions, energy, water, waste, safety, diversity). * Lead the preparation of the group’s annual ESG reporting / Sustainability Statement. * Track and measure ESG KPIs for the green technology park development and other projects (solar energy generation, carbon offset, biodiversity, community impact). 3. **Policy & Risk Management** * Review and update group sustainability and governance policies (e.g. whistleblowing and anti-bribery and corruption). * Conduct ESG risk assessments for ongoing and new projects. 4. **Stakeholder Engagement** * Liaise with Sarawak Government agencies, sustainability consultants, and NGOs. * Support inquiries from investors/bankers/authorities on ESG readiness and compliance. **Qualifications** * Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field. Experience in leading corporate sustainability/ESG preferred. * Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in sustainability reporting, ESG compliance or environmental management with experience in construction or renewable energy field preferred. * Familiar with GRI, TCFD, Bursa Malaysia ESG reporting standards, ISO 14001/45001, EIA processes, and carbon accounting will be an added value. * Strong analytical & reporting skills, stakeholder communication, ESG data management, audit coordination. * Integrity, strategic thinking, attention to detail, able to liaise between technical, legal, management teams and external consultant.
