About this role

**Job Title:** Business Analyst: Financial Planning & Analysis **Salary Per Month:** RM4,500 to 5,000 **Reporting to:** Corporate Affairs – Assistant Manager **Business Actual Performance Analysis** * Perform monthly financial analysis, evaluate financial performance (including operational and financial metrics) by comparing and analysing actual results with budget and forecasts * Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements * Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting **Financial Planning & Analysis** * Support and coordinate the annual financial planning process in close partnership with the business & operation team * Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials * Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models **Financial Performance Review** * Prepare report on financial performance review with leadership Team and Board of Directors **Business Process Improvement** * Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards * Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools **Market, Industry & Competitor’s Intelligence** * Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence on the industry/market, competitor and customer * Ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance of accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements * Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs **Others:** * Ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance of accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements * Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs **Qualification & Experience** * Candidate with finance degree (preferably ACCA, CPA, MIA) with good financial analysis and management reporting background having 3+ years of prior work experience * Working experience with audit/ accounting firms will be a plus * Experienced in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) * Good analytical and data gathering skills * Good business acumen and dealing with stakeholders * Good data analytical skills including computation of operational and financial metrics Applicants may submit their resume to hr@straits-interlogistics.com Closing date: 31 May 2021
