Fixed Income Lead, CIO Office

About this role

The Chief Investment Office (CIO Office) is looking for a experienced Fixed Income professional to lead the fixed income squad. The role will focus on developing impactful fixed income views and sector strategies to support clients in their investment journey, while contributing to the bank’s strategic and commercial objectives. **Responsibilities** Production of fixed income ideas: • Lead the squad in fixed income research coverage and formulation of sector strategies • Responsible for performance of security selection and model portfolios • Contribute to house views as a key member of the GWM investment committee Proliferation of house views: • Communicate house views and investment ideas for both internal and end clients • Develop and ensure quality of written publications as well as presentations • Represent Maybank as a spokesperson in media and client events where applicable Performance of business growth: • Understand business goals and collaborate with other teams to achieve them • Assist in the engagement as well as acquisition of key clients • Contribute towards GWM’s revenue, profit and AUM growth objectives Process management and governance: • Drive team-related initiatives to address pain points and improve productivity • Motivate and inspire squad to achieving team goals in a cohesive manner • Ensure squad to work within Maybank’s compliance and risk framework **Requirements**  Minimum 10 years in finance industry with at least 7 years of relevant experience in an investment-role  Extensive knowledge of top-down and bottoms-up analysis of fixed income on a global basis  Appreciation of multi-asset allocation from a strategic and tactical perspective  Managing multiple tasks through strong analytical and implementation skills  Ability to identify and develop initiatives to drive business growth  Strong professionalism with high level of integrity and ethics  Good written, oral and presentation skills in English; Additional language skills: Chinese/Malay/Bahasa would be ideal
