About this role
**Key Responsibilities:** * **Site Leadership & Contractor Management** + Lead and supervise sub-contractors on-site, ensuring all mechanical and electrical works are executed according to project specifications and timelines. * **Project Planning & Coordination** + Collaborate with M&E Coordinators, sub-contractors, and stakeholders to plan and coordinate seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems throughout project phases. * **Schedule & Budget Management** + Organize work schedules and monitor project delivery to ensure timely completion within allocated budget, maintaining cost-conscious approach throughout all project stages. * **Quality Assurance & Compliance** + Monitor sub-contractor workmanship and implement QAQC standard procedures to ensure adherence to specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. * **Technical Expertise & Drawing Interpretation** + Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting M&E drawings, provide technical guidance to team members, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during site operations. * **Documentation & Progress Reporting** + Maintain comprehensive records of installations, materials, and testing procedures; prepare progress reports and verify sub-contractor claims for management review. * **Stakeholder Communication** + Report project status, challenges, and potential issues effectively to Management while maintaining clear communication channels with all project stakeholders. * **Professional Development & Industry Knowledge** + Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical and electrical systems to drive continuous improvement and innovation. **Key Requirements:** * Minimum a Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or in related field. * Possession of Certificate of Competency (COC), Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or other relevant industry certifications will be considered a distinct advantage and may enhance career progression opportunities. * At least 3 – 5 years relevant working experience in M&E construction, design, or facility management. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in supervising and managing mechanical and electrical systems specifically within housing, residential, or commercial building projects in the construction/property development sector. * Proficient in Ms. Office and AutoCAD software. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills are highly valued for collaborating with diverse stakeholders like architects, contractors, and clients. * Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret M&E engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure accurate implementation and coordination on-site. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and internal teams, with ability to prepare clear technical reports and presentations for management review. * Has a valid CIDB Green Card.
