About this role
Zecon Berhad is a Malaysian public-listed corporation with core businesses in construction, asset & facility management, healthcare support services, plus major infrastructure development. We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Human Resource to lead and strengthen our Human Capital function across multiple business units. This is a leadership role reporting directly to the Executive Director and Deputy Managing Director, based out of Kuala Lumpur. *Key Responsibilities* * Lead end-to-end Human Resource operations including recruitment, talent management, industrial relations, compensation & benefits, HR compliance and engagement. * Develop HR strategic plans aligned with corporate goals, succession planning, organizational structure, and manpower planning. * Review, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, and performance management systems. * Oversee payroll administration, statutory submissions and regulatory compliance under Malaysian labour law. * Drive culture-building initiatives, engagement programs, training & development and internal communication. * Provide advisory support to senior leadership on HR strategies, risks, and people development. * Ensure effective documentation, audit readiness, and HR reporting to top management and the board when required. * Partnering with business leaders to understand their workforce needs and provide tailored solutions. * Driving the digital transformation of HR processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness * Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Group, ensuring the effective implementation of talent management strategies *Minimum Requirements* * A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields. * A Master’s Degree/MBA is an advantage. * 8–10 years of relevant HR experience. * A minimum of 3 years in a managerial / leadership role. * Good knowledge of the Employment Act, labour standards, disciplinary procedures, compensation and benefits. * Strong communication, analytical thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management. * Positive leadership values, integrity, discretion and professionalism. * Knowledge in foreign workers’ management.
