System Engineer

About this role
* Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, database servers, VPN); * Perform maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hpt and security configuration; * Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability; * Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning; * Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues; * Prepare system documentation based on methodology adopted; * Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure; * Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution; * Perform implementation of any system software; * Programming/scripting for back-end systems; * Perform any function/responsibility that may assigned by the Management from time to time.
